Ingredients:
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 quart fresh peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced
Method:
Melt butter in baking dish. Make a batter of the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and the milk. Pour over melted butter. Sweeten peaches with the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and pour over the batter. Do not stir! Bake in a 9×9 pan in a 350 degree oven until brown around the edges, about 30 minutes. Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
