My Overall Personality from 43Things.com: Romantic Organized Self-Improver

I don't really know what that means at all, but it sounds nice...

My Reading Personality from BookBrowse.com: Eclectic Reader reading1

You read for entertainment but also to expand your mind. You're open to new ideas and new writers, and are not wedded to a particular genre or limited range of authors.

My Food Personality from MealsMatter.org: Fast and Fresh!

swedishchefYou value healthy, good tasting foods and prefer streamlined recipes to save time while using fresh ingredients as much as possible. You enjoy the process of making recipes from scratch, but time is often short so you need to be efficient by selecting recipes that you can make quickly. Because you enjoy cooking you tend to cook more complex meals on weekends when you have more time. During the week, simpler recipes with fewer ingredients and fewer steps are the keys to your meal preparation process.

And now we know that I really do have multiple personalities...

Oh, also important: from OkCupid.com I found that my IDEAL Match has an ENTP Personality type: (I'm not sure if this is Joe's exact type, let's just run through and see what fits him...)

Your ideal mate is known as the inventor (=JOE). This type is a flirtateous and energetic romantic partner, fun and worldconquerorsengaging, always looking for something unusual to try (=SO JOE it's not even funny!). In their enthusiasm, they may make promises they can't keep (Hmm. That may have happened once or twice but I don't remember). Their competitive nature and need to be perceived as an expert can be daunting to a romantic partner at times (Hahaha! Bring it on. I am undaunted!). They so enjoy the tug of a good debate that sometimes they act as if they don't take anything seriously (Weirdly accurate. We do like debating). They are usually very supportive and helpful to their mates, but somewhat scattered and unable to devote their full attention there (JOE! But we work together so well. If I feel ignored, I just yell something like, "HEY! Pay attention to me now!" And if I don't get full, undivided attention, I do get included in everything he does. ) They feel most appreciated for their great ideas, unusual perceptiveness, and ability to understand and communicate with people. They feel most appreciated when their partners understand their need for lots of social contact and their need to live life as spontaneously as possible (Wow. JOE! This is a great refresher on what a wonderful kind of guy I married. And what do you know - he just happens to be my ideal type).

  • I’m Too Sexy for My…Spouse?
There are two kinds of women in the world: those who can wear high heels and those who can't. But that has nothing to do with this article. Let's start over. There are two kinds of women in the world: those whose sex drive is weaker than their husbands' and those whose sex drive is stronger than [...] […]
  • Freedom to Focus Is Freedom to Accomplish
Focus is key in getting things done. Be diligent at what you're good at and see what happens. Let other things go, unimportant things. Distraction is the enemy of focus. Planning becomes procrastination and procrastination is the enemy of action. What distracts us? Distraction #1: Prep Work Before I can write or exercise or go here or fix that, [...] […]
  • Parenting 101: The Greatest Joy
It is 8:30 on a Saturday night and I am about to gorge myself on good chocolate and books. I am full of resolution. I am full of cheer. I am alone with the hot running water, in a cocoon the color of the shower curtain. My library loot is stacked beside me on the [...] […]
  • {Book Review} Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God by Sheila Walsh
Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God by Sheila Walsh Thomas Nelson Publishers; 3 out of 5 stars I like this book, I do, so I feel kind of guilty being harsh in my review. But repetition bores me, and the writing in this book is very formulaic. Each chapter follows the same format: personal story [...] […]
